Background:
I started this page to document and promote a project I hope to grow into something really special — Lovely Handwritten Notes. I’m nostalgic and I love to write. More than that, I love to write to other people. Have you ever received a handwritten note in the mail that has completely brightened your day? Imagine what could happen if we could spread that feeling you had to a few dozen more people, then a few more, and a few more, until people across the world are opening more handwritten notes and feeling a deeper to connection to others? Lovely Handwritten Notes is a project I’m starting in an attempt to make this a reality, while doing my part to help save the U.S. Postal Service. It’s time to remember the romantic place where the postal service began.
Mission: To reclaim the lost art of sending handwritten letters through the post.
Vision: A world where people find deeper connection, compassion, and joy through the simple acts of writing, sending, and receiving a note.
Values:
- Time taken to write a letter is time well spent.
- Human connection is vital to positive growth.
- Smiles can be sent with a stamp.
- The U.S. Postal Service is not an antiquated system.
